The book made me forget that this was one of the main texts for an exam. There are many interesting things about Rizal, the man, that Mr Coates writes about here, including ones I had never known growing up back in the homeland.

The three-dimensional portrait rendered by Mr Coates here is of one whose greatest qualities should really be emulated by all, Filipinos and non-Filipinos alike.
